Summary: Quite a journey it's been..
Comment: At the core of this Anthology, is a woman (the author) who survives the forbidding detour through breast cancer, to later discover a whole new path where the door that opens, truly begins a real-life journey of miracles!

Throughout the book, it's obvious that the author lives the truth she speaks, as one sees how she responds to a new awareness--a conscious awareness of a Divine Presence--"Angel John." The journey begins as Fran Lenzo, now "clairaudient," can hear the voice of her guardian angel and shares his message of humor, gratitude, understanding, serenity and love.

From the very start (Part I), as written, Lenzo has a knack for balancing the ephemeral world with the physical world, never losing touch that we are Spirit but still in human form. How she bridges the two is cause for inspiration, wonderment and a basis for a deeper experience of peace. Of Angel John's offerings, they are artfully simple, intelligent, open of heart and mind, never slipping into loftiness; staying reachable to those beginning their spiritual path.

Part II of the book expounds upon "Angelic Perspectives" of Heart, Thanksgiving, Miracles and Loss, reevaluating and reestablishing their practical meanings, thus making them more "real." Each of Angel John's essays on these perspectives, are followed with poetry and short stories that further elucidate their themes. This part of the books represents a fine contribution to metaphysical literature.

More redeeming than Richard Bach's autobiographical account, "Bridge Across Forever," I find this book more personal and more universal. Overall, a highly recommendable book, especially for anyone acquainted with a life-threatening illness, wanting to open to a world that's far greater than what's provable and yet compellingly believable.
