Comment: Too wordy for such a young targeted audience. Illustrations are not flattering to the First Families. According to the book jacket the artist has yet to tour the White House.

Comment: A short poem best describes my review of this book: "In this time of White House stress, When "The West Wing" is the best, It is nice to see a work of art, Showing 1600 has a heart!" THE BOOK IS AS CUTE AS THIS POEM! The author and the illustrator are both world class!

Summary: I Love the book !!
Comment: A wonderful book for children to see how the First Familes celebrate Christmas at the White House. I love how the author has woven true events of each First Family at Christmas into the text. The color illustrations are absolutely beautiful. The additional information in the back of the book for parents, grandparents, and teachers is a real plus. It is really hard to find a non-fiction Children's book of this caliber. Of course, I think the author's first book "Season's Greeting's from the White House" is a classic !
