Summary: Hard to penetrate
Comment: Honestly, I was quite disappointed with this book, but that could be perhaps my expectations were set quite high, or I was expecting something else. The main difficulty for me with this book is that I feel the analogy with "real-life" automobile travel is taken a bit too far, so much so that too much mental energy is required to figure out what the author is trying to say.
I was also expecting the book to be more like a manual for the Gateway Experience tapes/CDs which the Monroe Institute never had, but this is not, though I admit this expectation could have been my fault, so I have not marked it down for this reason.

Summary: Good dscription of TMI's hemisync
Comment: Patricia includes very good descriptions of the process of Hemi-Sync being taught at the Monroe Institute. Patricia herself is/was a teacher at TMI. Patricia seems very 'New Age' oriented and for some reason feels to need to provide analogous scientific support for mental structures and tools used at TMI. Examples are the "Einstein-Rosen bridge", the "wormhole" from Star Trek, a dimensional portal from the Sci-Fi show "Sliders". She also includes her personal philosphy in chapter 3 that just left me saying "What the heck?"

Rating: 5
Summary: Great Book on out -of- body travel
Comment: I found the book very informative on describing out of body states of consciousness as put forth by The Monroe Institute. The author brings a personal, lighthearted touch to a very serious subject. I particularly enjoyed her weaving of Star Trek, Georges Gurdjieff, and P.D. Ouspensky, into the topic of out- of - body travel. I found this book very valuable in helping clarify the different states of consciousness connected with the other side. It was well done, lucid and had a light touch.
