Summary: hype with no substance
Comment: I make jewellery and almost none of what he says is right, moreover it is total fantasy. The book is full of missleading charts and missleading advise. The author makes money on selling books, not in the jewellery trade. I bought this book on curiosity and in the hope I might learn something a little outside my trade and learnt nothing. It was a very irritating read as he talked as an expert about things he knows nothing about. It is obvious to me as I work in the trade.
I buy and sell diamonds regularly, I work with the tradesmen he belittles and don't believe any of the oversimplified rubbish the author porports to be fact.
