Summary: A Great introduction to Anabaptists in Britain and Ireland
Comment: This book does an excellent job of presenting the stories of Christians throughout Britain and Ireland who have found inspiration and vision in the Anabaptist tradition. Most of these stories come from people outside the Mennonite and Brethren traditions that have been traditionally associated with Anabaptism. Anglicans, Methodists, Baptists, and Catholics tell how the Anabaptist vision has helped them find new life in their own traditions and churches.
From the Anabaptist peace witness to its emphasis on Christian discipleship, the 500 year old Anabaptist tradition is seen through fresh and inspired eyes. These stories of people encountering anabaptism will inspire both those from the Anabaptist tradition and those who know nothing about it. For many, the metaphor of coming home describes the sense of belonging they have found in a faith tradition that embraces their values.
