Summary: Pursuing happiness in high gear
Comment: Award-winning author Judith Kleinfeld presents Go For It!: Finding Your Own Frontier, a superbly presented and thoroughly "reader friendly" self-help manual to using and utilizing the goals and drives of a frontier frame of mind to improve overall personal performance and success. From selecting the right dream to pursue; to methodologies; to developing a "frontier strategy", and so much more, Go For It! Finding Your Own Frontier is an exciting, practical, morale uplifting, and enthusiastically recommended do-it-yourself guide to pursuing happiness in high gear.
Rating: 1
Summary: Barely worth the trouble
Comment: The helpful content of this book would have made a very nice three-page pamphlet. However, that content is served up with innumerable anecdotes about the author's and her friends' Alaskan experiences (admittedly, some of these are amusing, instructive, or both) and shot through with conservative dogma that ranges from the vaguely discomfiting to the blatantly jingoistic. You're better off with . . . well, just about anything else.

Summary: Road Map for New Career
Comment: Explore a new career! Take your life in a new direction! Judith Kleinfeld related stories of people who have done just that and found success and happiness. Fittingly, the author followed the lives of inviduals who discovered their new personal frontier in Alaska, The Last Frontier.
Dr.Kleinfeld, a psychologist, provides a roap map for finding one's frontier. The journey begins with asking yourself, "When have I been happiest in my life?" Suggestions follow for identifying one's career, what is needed for the journey, and ways to get started. The book projects the optimism, individualism, and practicality of the pioneers who found their new frontier in the American West.
