Comment: Beware, Amazon customers: The Rev. Deborah Smith, author of this small-press relgious novel, is NOT the well-known romance and women's fiction author, Deborah Smith, author of New York Times bestseller A PLACE TO CALL HOME, Bantam Books. Amazon has been notified but may not post any information that alerts customers to the confusion. The Rev. Smith will no doubt be very unhappy to receive angry letters from readers who purchase the racy, heathen novels of the well-established "other" Deborah Smith. Likewise, yours truly, said heathen, Deborah Smith, DOES NOT WANT TO RECEIVE angry letters from pissed-off religious folk who mistakenly bought the wrong Deb Smith novel. Dear Rev. Smith: you need to use a pen name or clearly identify yourself as "Rev. Deborah Smith" in the future. I've been publishing novels under the Deborah Smith name for nearly 20 years. Thank you.

Summary: One sleepless weekend..
Comment: I was given this book by my mother to read. She said I had to read this book and BOY was she right. Deborah, girl you were off the chain with the characters. I read this book in one weekend and was wanting more. This book had me wanting to find Mr. Booker (Leon) to enjoy some the finer things in life! But, in the end like the book I guess you have to decide what you really want out of life good salvation or good satisfaction. We would like to have both but sometimes that's just not happening. The one thing I can say is Kiyah didn't involve her children so they wouldn't get hurt like she did, we as adults can sometimes bounce back alittle better than our children. Sandra, was wrong for not telling Kiyah she was once one of many for Mr. Booker but she too got what she deserved (a beat down). I would like to know if Mr. Booker ever got what he deserved and what happened with Miles and Kiyah several years later.. a must read for a true reader.

Comment: Congratulations, Deborah Smith! The literary world continues to explode because Deborah Smith, an ordinary person, has done an extraordinary thing, by sharing her writing ability with the world. This book will keep you glued to the chair, side of the bed, at your desk, when you know you should be doing those lesson plans! But you can't put it down because you have to get busy, get set, and read quickly, (before your students come back from lunch). You want to cheat and fast forward, to find out exactly what the secret is; but you can't because each section has got it going on!! And when you think you have finally got, Deborah Smith socks it to you again and again with more twists and turns. This book is an easy read, it holds your attention, and allows you to do absolutely nothing until you finish reading it, then it leaves you wanting more. I say, Welcome Deborah Smith into the great Literary World. There is certainly room for new authors such as you. My wish is for continued success and many more Blessings from Up High!!
