Summary: A Great Book for Teaching Ice Sculpture
Comment: WOW! I've been waiting for an ice-sculpture book like this for years. As a chef-instructor that who has taught ice-sculpture as part of my Garde Manger class, it's been hard to find a book for the classroom. This text book has everything I need, including chapters on art, using power tools, safty, lighting, fusing, colouring ice, transportation, competitions, plus a lot more.The photos are great, with hundreds devoted to step by stepdirections on how to carve many interesting sculptures. The bookis well organized for instruction, withchapter objectives, keywoprds and a huge glossary of terms. I understand there is alsoa teacher's guide, but have not seen it yet. My only complaint is that the book was printed in soft cover. But for my students, the value is great. you can't beat this book, especially for the price. No boubt, it's the best ice-sculpture book on the market for teaching yourself or others to sculpt ice!
