Summary: New book with needed corrections
Comment: This is a wonderful text for students in the entry level of nursing. However, many skills listed in the text are missing information or have conflicting information from the hardcover text also published by Delmar. I have used this text for 2 entry level courses and both courses have noted missing, incomplete or inaccurate data that will need to be updated, corrected and/or assimilated to correspond with the Fundamentals text that is designed as a corresponding text with this book.

Comment: This tome of timely tips is in truth a fairly comprehensive textbook/clinical lab manual with detailed skills descriptions, including photos and illustrations. The anecdotal patient stories are a bit much (truth is always stranger than fiction, particularly the lady drowning in the instant quicksand of a punctured therapeutic sand bed...) but on the whole, this is a comprehensive clinical manual in a very readable format. Designed for the ADN 2-year, 3-year RN, or CNA/RN programs.
