Summary: A Good Read
Comment: Though THE BROTHERS GALLAGHER is rough in a few spots and needed polishing before going to print, it's still a good read. The story brings to mind an interesting question. If man were able to travel back through time to change events, should they?

Terry Gallagher has just lost his wife, Jill, to Raoul the landscaper, because Terry isn't making enough money to satisfy her.

When he learns the dean of Frazier College, Justin Tyme, has found a way to travel back in time by using a radio, magnet, and a cave, Terry decides to go back and invent the airplane before the Wright brothers do. His aim is to become filthy rich so he can get Jill back.

Back in 1901, Terry falls in love with Mary, but she's his grandmother in the future. Whoops! What a dilemma! Each time Terry goes back, and then returns to the future, history gets a little more out of whack until he finds himself going back to fix the mistakes he caused in the future by changing events in the past.

Terry slowly but surely learns that money isn't happiness. If you find happiness, you should hold onto it no matter if you're rich or poor. Once Terry stops thinking about how to make things better for himself and seeks to make things better for others, events fall into their rightful place in time.

Overall, I enjoyed THE BROTHERS GALLAGHER, and it had me asking myself if I would change things in the past to better my future. I decided I'd best leave well-enough alone.

Comment: I didn't want to put it down! I loved the romance, the subtle jokes, and most of all, making time travel seem like it is a reality! I can't wait to read some of his other books.

Summary: What A Fun Read!
Comment: I found myself smiling a great deal while reading The Brothers Gallagher. The story caught my attention and made me eager to pick up the book and return to the unexpected twists and turns in the lives of the characters.

You can't help but like Tom Stark's Terry Gallagher whose outlook on life is part guy-next-door and part wise-guy-wanna be. Readers from Northeast Ohio will get a kick out of Stark's use of local flavor. My favorite - Kelly's Island University!

I hope we'll see more from this fresh new author!
