Summary: For anyone who has ever loved and lost a companion animal
Comment: Reading "The Soul of Your Pet" confirmed for me what I have always known to be true - that animals have souls and these souls live on after death. I wish this inspiring book had been available when I lost my beloved dog, Martha, in 1995. Shortly after her passing I realized Martha was trying to let me know she was happy and that we still had work to do together. It was a peaceful vision of her in the arms of an angel that led to the creation of my book, For Every Dog An Angel.
It is clear the author has done extensive research on his topic. One feels the stories in the book are offered with sincerity, and with an open heart. He does not try to force his beliefs on the reader. I was particularly moved by the last chapter, The Inner Lives of Animals. In it there is a comment from Elizabeth Marshall Thomas, author of The Hidden Life of Dogs. When asked if dogs have souls, she answered, "If we go to heaven, so do they....because if dogs are not there it is not heaven."
I couldn't agree more.

Summary: This absorbing book about covers it all
Comment: On a subject like this I don't know how much more an author could do to demonstrate so thoroughly that animals exist after death just as people do. We hear of so many very believable experiences of those who have seen, felt or heard pets who have passed on. Gary Anderson the very famous psychic tells of his seeing ghost pets with their ghost owners while the living relatives are in his presence. There are NDE's where the experiencers see animals in what appears to be Heaven, information on what different religions say, and the intelligence and emotional aspects of animals. as well. He even shows the impact that DesCartes had with his callous, wilful-self-blinding ,illogical theory regarding the capacity of animals to think and feel. He thought of them as merely biological machines, as the author puts it. As I said, I can't imagine a way to look at the idea of pet afterlife that he hasn't covered, with the moral implications implied as well.Bravo! Ole!

Summary: This book made my loss easier to accept
Comment: This book helped to ease my broken heart. For anyone that has lost their beloved pet,The Soul Of Your Pet is a treasure. It made my heart smile again instead of crying myself to sleep at night. I recently passed it on to friend that just recently lost her puppy baby. She commented on the strength it has given her to move forward as well.
