Comment: After finding this book in the library and looking through it... I knew I HAD to buy it. There were just too many recipes I wanted to try. I usally only buy canned soups, and while I have used them in creative ways I never dreamed that they, along with dry mixes could add so much to so many foods! I plan on making one of the shrimp dip recipes for our department pitch in, and a co-worker is going to make the Tomato Soup Spice Cake. This book is for the novice as well as the experienced cook. Keep it handy.. you will use it often!

Comment: I love to cook! I love the selecting of fresh ingredients, the prep work, and the pleasure of carrying out a complex recipe successfully -- but only when I have time!
During the week, everything changes and nights are unpredictable in my home. It is next to impossible to predict when everyone will be home and ready to eat or how much effort the chef (me) really wants to put forth...
The Soup Mix Cookbook provides easy, reliable recipes that have a lot of flexibility to make dinner prep a breeze. I particularly likes the Baked Potato Soup. It is thick and hearty, people can dress it up as they choose; add a tossed salad to it to complete the meal.
Pick the book up, put it in your car, and shop with it on your way home...dinner will taste so much betrer than regular take-out and your family will be impressed with that American rarity -- a home-cooked meal!

Summary: A great Cookbook
Comment: This cookbook is one of the best I have come across. I love cookbooks and I'm always trying different recipes. But this cookbook has really got me trying one recipe after the other.
If you like to cook and like tasty and delicous food and most of the recipes are pretty easy to prepare you should purchase The Soup Mix Gourmet.
