Comment: Mr. Patrick Carnes cuts through the bullshit and gives you the straight facts, unadulterated, undiluted, with no denial or "pretty faces", about the real facts of abuse and abusive relationships. If you want to read the true dark facts about real human nature, pick up this book and you probably won't put it down. The author is clearly highly brilliant and motivated to drive away crap and put the real facts on the table. Domestic violence, and its attendant injuries, murders, not to mention the life-long devastating effects on the children witnesses, often silent and internally destroyed for life, not to mention, usually future victims themselves, are plainly revealed. If you are ready to move out of denial and learn about the real human family behind closed doors, pick up this author's book. You will never be the same.
