Summary: Informative But Not All Inclusive
Comment: Very interesting reading chalked full of information on the common methods used to manufacture LSD and a few other drugs. This book should not be used alone by anyone who wants to know how to manufacture LSD or for anyone who actually intends to manufacture it, but should still be purchased as a very valuable reference guide. But i feel it is a must have for the drug chemist or law enforcment type person.

Summary: Tim Leary must be happy
Comment: I was a friend of Dr. Leary, the "LSD Pope", as he was called years back. Now, he is history, as are the "Flower Power Days", and "The Psychedelic Experience" that he writed. All this is intriguing, because LSD wasn't meant as a drug to get you high, just like Pot or Cocaine. LSD was a sacrament, something that can guide you to a death and a rebirth, along the guidelines of "The Tibetan Book of the Dead", in a experience that can change, and rebuild, your whole life. But Tim Leary must be sad, because all his work, founded on freedom, values nothing without the means to do such a "trip", with the security of getting "the real thing". But now, Freedom-Paladin Uncle Fester brings us the real thing: a serious book that teachs step-by-step how to produce pure, potent LSD, from chemical or natural sources. Of course you must understand a little bit of chemistry, but this is THE BOOK on the subject. Do not be confused by booklets selling the false idea that you can cook LSD in your kitchen with some cheap seeds and cooking hardware. This is a secure and true route. If you are intrigued by LSD, just like me, take this route. It is the only one. And have a nice "trip", even if it is only inside the pages of this fascinating book.

Summary: Let the inexperienced beware
Comment: From the chemistry experts that I have spoken with, Uncle Fester's book is fraught with dangers and inaccurate information. Use of these techniques by inexperienced would-be chemists can only result in disaster. For a more thorough discussion of this topic, check the hyperreal drug archives...there are a few running commentaries by REAL chemists there on this book and Uncle Fester's work in general.
