Summary: A thorough and well-written introduction to the subject
Comment: Although I cannot recommend all of Mr. Buckland's books, this and "Doors to Other Worlds" are two of his very best. This book serves to dispel some common myths about spirit communication (i.e. Ouija, seances, automatic writing etc.) and teaches you the reality of the art. It begins with an outline of the 5 levels of the spirit world and a thorough discussion of each, then moves on to discuss the history of the Spiritualist movement and religion. Buckland offers definitions of many common terms, such as clairaudience and channeling, and offers advice for doing each. At the end there is a FAQ covering such topics as life after death, angels, and possessions. I would suggest buying both this and "Doors to Other Worlds" (an expanded version) if you are interested in the truth and methods of spirit communication.
