Summary: Midnight club excellent addition to any book club
Comment: This book is just as good as the Alex Cross series and has one of the best villains ever created. The basic plot is that there is one organisation that every mafia, crime and drug organisation is controlled by. The killer in this book is the head of this organisation.
The detective in The Midnight Club is also an interesting character being that he is confined to a wheel chair.
A lot of reviews seem to dislike this book but I think it is sensational. For those who have never read a Patterson novel it is also great as you do not have to be familiar with any other books to fully appreciate the characters. For those who have read them this is a different detective to follow other than Alex Cross and the Women's Murder Club.

Summary: Slow book with horrible ending
Comment: The Midnight Club is a book that just did not thrill me for some reason. James Patterson is a great author and I have enjoyed pretty much all of the books that I have read of him, but this book just wasn't Patterson at his best. The whole book moved at a snail's pace that was hardly suspenseful at all. There are a few twists and turns in the book just to keep you reading but overall it was a mediocre at best book. John Stevanovitch the lead character is in a wheel chair, which is a pretty good idea. But I just didn't like how Patterson wrote about it and explained it to the reader. The love story in the book is needless and predictable. And now to the ending. This is one of the dumbest endings I have ever read and especially for James Patterson, which he is known for horrible endings. I thought it was rushed, anti-climatic, and very disappointing. If you have read enough books and watched enough movies, then you will keep waiting for more in this book thinking that "that" is not how it could end. I have actually changed my rating from 3 to 2 stars in the midst of writing this review now that I have gotten my thoughts out. If you like James Patterson, then this book is very disappointing. If you have never read him then don't start with this book because you might never try him again. But he really is a good author. The Midnight Club is another classic non-Alex Cross book from Patterson and is definitely not recommended from me. 2 Stars

Summary: A little slow
Comment: This was a good book. I have been a Patterson far for almost a year now and I have read every book that I could get my hands on. This book just felt a bit slow to me in the middle. I guess that I have grown used to the Alex Cross action...
