Comment: Able to be read in one sitting, but perhaps deserving two or more passes, "The Secret Language of Waking Dreams" begins with a seemingly innocuous yet life altering coincidence in the life of President Abraham Lincoln and poetically puts together a convincing thesis that the unsung (and often unheeded) little "miracles" of everyday life form a beautiful tapestry woven by Spirit for each individual to read for his or her protection, guidance and insight.

Mike Avery does a good job of explaining the when, where and what of waking dreams, providing plenty of down-to-Earth examples. He never once gives the impression that they are reserved exclusively for mystics or the historically famous - but rather are in the grasp of anyone with a desire and openess to hear Spirit. Highly recommended. For sleeping dreams, try "The Art of Spiritual Dreaming" by Harold Klemp.

The greatest revelation is that of the "Waking Dream." This idea, which I have seen several times at work in my own life, says that a series of physical "coincidences" can actually be messages from Spirit to guide you into greater understanding or lead you from harm. The idea is phenemonal. It requires you to understand that there really is no separation between the physical and the spiritual. When you realize this, you can begin to see Spirit at work through everyday events!

Tie this into "The Art of Spiritual Dreaming" by Harold Klemp and you've got quite a duo for spiritual unfoldment.
