Summary: Don't Let This Book Scare You
Comment: This book is doing more harm than good. It is wonderful how this book tells you 10% of what you need to know. Amalgam is bad, it is very bad! But there are two other sides to this. Number 1: that really fast suction device sucks up all the extra amalgam, nothing goes into your system. Number 2: The amalgam is sealed in and can not contaminate you. Number 3: If someone is still worried they can also get a composite filling, this is a tooth colored filling that contains no amalgam. As for a bridge being better than an implant, that is also two sided. A person that has trouble fighting an infection should not have this surgery. But in a healthy person this is the best option. Without a tooth in place your body will begin losing bone in that area. An implant will stop this from happening, a bridge will not. Eventually a person can lose so much bone that the teeth that were next to the missing tooth fall out. The bone that was supporting them has dissolved. The longer you wait the more teeth you lose. I have done much research into the subject and any dentist can produce proof of this. Don't be ignorant, research it yourself and you will see that I am right.

Summary: Timely Aid
Comment: I was fortunate to read this book before undergoing removal of root-filled teeth and amalgam fillings. My dentist had recommended an implant to replace an extracted root-filled tooth. This book points out the danger of such an immune system challenge (I chose a bridge of biocompatible materials instead) and provides further updates to It's All in Your Head. Especially helpful are the sections on root canals, cavitations and detoxification.

Summary: Eye opening
Comment: Something I did not know (and which the authors expose) is that dentists as a professsion have the highest suicide rate. It is because, they argue convincingly, dentists spend decades dealing with mercury, a deadly neuro-toxin, which collects in their brains. Although they don't comment on it, this is where the old expression, "Mad as a hatter" came from: in the past hatters became insane because they used mercury in their job. The average dental amalgam is 50% mercury: this is the poison the ADA claims is safe and allows dentists to place inches from peoples' brains? Europe is far ahead of us in this regard; mercury fillings are now illegal. The list of diseases improved or cured by removal of fillings is astonishing. The authors list case after case. Schopenhauer made the comment that ideas are first ridiculed, then violently opposed, then accepted as self-evident. I wonder how many years it will take before the dangers of these fillings will be accepted as self-evident.
