Comment: The Alphabet of Sheep is brilliant. It combines two outstanding traditions of Americana: rug hooking, and personal story telling. Pioneer women celebrated their families, friends, and experiences through their needlework in rug hooking, embroidery, and quilting. Patty Yoder brings the tradition to an even higher level through her sheep rugs, each representing a different letter of the alphabet, and each inspired by the events that comprise Ms. Yoder's life. Couple this with her superbly artistic eye, and extraordinary technique, and you have The Alphabet of Sheep.
