Summary: Teach yourself FrontPage 98 in a week is easy and fun.
Comment: David Karlin's "Teach yourself Microsoft FrontPage 98" is terrific. I purchased the book on a Thursday afternoon and by Saturday I published my site on the Internet. I do not know HTML and I didn't know FrontPage 98 but with Mr. Karlin's well organized and detailed explanations I was able to learn it quickly.
Mr. Karlin's book covers everything you need to know to produce terrific websites, from themes, to frames to working with forms and integrating MS Office with FrontPage 98, it is all there in "Teach yourself Microsoft FrontPage 98."
I am especially appreciative of the chapters that cover the image composer, how to create interesting graphics and text effects to jazz up my website.
This book works both as a tutorial and a reference and I know I'll be referring to it frequently as I continue to play with website design.

Summary: A decent book, but author support? "I've had better!"
Comment: There are two reasons I bought this particular book. The first is that I needed some additional information about using FP98. The second is that David Karlins (the author), promises e-mail support with questions you may have. In fact, he prints his direct e-mail address in numerous places. Well, I had several questions, and after extensive researching, just couldn't find the answers in the book or on his Web site. So, I e-mailed Mr. Karlins with my questions. At any rate, he responded within a day but not with the answers I needed, but an invitation to check out his Web site again! Can you imagine? I feel like he hoodwinked me. Now I don't know if he just doesn't know the answers, was promoting his site some more or a combination of both. Anyway, a decent book, but if he treats you like he did me, you'll find the complete experience to be lacking. Take care:-)

Summary: A good overview guide but lacks details
Comment: Even though I found the book helpful, I was somewhat disapointed that there were not more details. In all fairness though, the book never said it was a "complete-everything-you-could-possible-want-to-know-about-FrontPage 98" encyclopedia. A good book to get you started but you'll need something more for a complete reference.
