Summary: An excellent book
Comment: I read this book prior to taking my certification exam.I passed my exam the first try.I found it to be most HELPFULL in teaching you what you need to know to pass the exam. Although I would not recommend it as an ALL sufficient study tool for studying for the exam, for me the book accomplished EXACTLY what it was supposed to do. Hence the name exam CRAM. I was pleased with the layout of the book and I especially liked the way the book included questions at the end of every chapter to help you see how much of your reading is being retained in the brain {pun intended}. Although I did find a few errors in the book, the majority of them were only typos {e.g.} incorrect letter coorelation in answer key to the actual answers of the questions. These errors are nothing that would keep me from giving this book my highest recommendation. This book did an excellent job of helping me understand why the right answers were right and the wrong answers wrong in the practice test. This book also contains helpfull insight on how to prepare mentally for the exam.Last but not least,if your like me and don't have much time to study except for mabey times like breaktime at work, this book proved much easier to carry around than some of the "phone books" that are on the market. If you are serious about passing your exam, buy this book today and get to reading!

Summary: Perfect for my purpose...
Comment: I am not the least bit interested in becoming an NT 4 Server guru, nor am I interested in perfecting my maintanance and troubleshooting skills. What I am interested in is knowing enough about Windows NT to be able to intelligently communicate with the network engineers and system administrators in my organization. By completing the various Microsoft certification programs (MCSD, MCSE+I) I feel more able to effectively lead my I/T organization, and make decisions based on technical input from my engineers as well as usability input from my users. This book is perfectly suited for my purposes. It covers a broad range of toics in a straight-forward manner, but does not go into the nitty-gritty detail that is required for network engineers or systems administrators. I used this book to pass the NT 4 Server exam the first time... my score wasn't spectacular, but it was sufficient for my needs.

Summary: A good book for prepping
Comment: When utilized with other study sources - CBTs, Flashcards, HandsOn, this book is quite good. It was weak in a few areas and I wouldn't use just this source. This is my third "exam cram" book and I'll happily buy more. Oh - check the website for errata.
