Summary: read this book and answer interview questions smarter!
Comment: I picked up this book during my job search over the summer because I was really nervous about the interview process. This book breaks down the process into smaller bits of information that are very easy to understand and handle on your own. There are ideas for answering the most common interview questions and lists on things like what topics to avoid, what to wear, what to bring to the interview, etc. Goof-Proof Interviews takes the mystery out of the interview process. I felt more confident about interviewing and expressing myself after reading it. I ended up getting two job offers, and the negotiation section helped me assess the offers and make the correct decision. Thanks!!!

Summary: Don't waste your time or money
Comment: If you never have interviewed for a career level position, you may find this book helpful. However, if you have been working for a while, most of the information is obvious at best. Some of the rules include, brush your teeth, shower, wear clean clothes, use deodorant, don't be late to your interview. There was some useful information, such as some of the more popular questions asked at interviews. But that information is contained in virtually every job interview book. I did not give it one star because someone early in their career path, may find this book helpful.
I was very disappointed with this book. Unfortunately, I purchased the Goof-Proof Resumes book too, when I am done I will review it.

Summary: Perfect for today's job market
Comment: This is the first career guide I've read that offers simple, realistic advice without distractions or bouts of self-important longwindedness. Most books leave out the important parts leading up to the interview, from researching the company to choosing what to wear. These days, much of the conventional wisdom regarding interviewing has been turned upside-down. With so many conflicting viewpoints out there, it's great to find rules that are current, cohesive--and most important--correct.
