Summary: Cult indoctrination...but for children! How quaint!
Comment: Ahh, welcome to the world of Hubbard's "Study Tech," that centers around always looking up words you don't understand. A good concept, right? Well, apparently, misunderstood words are the *only* thing that prevents understanding....ho boy.
Complete and utter garbage, essentially...stuff cribbed from people who, y'know, actually do *research*, thrown together with outrageous assertions. But for kids! So it's all adorable, in a plush Xenu toy kind of way.
Would it surprise anybody to learn that the editorial reviews given on this title are by Scientology front groups? Seriously, do a search...WISE organizations! That's because *no real educational professional takes this stuff seriously*.
Stay far away.

Summary: Great Tool for Teaching and Tutoring
Comment: Grammar is one of the most misunderstood subjects in education. The subject is wrought with complexieties that have confused and confounded teachers and students alike. This textbook allows for an entry level understanding of the subject and allows for a foundation to be built, to support higher learning. This is a must for any student, or any want to be writer. I cannot tell you how many times this book has helped me help others, help themselves. It will make an immeasurable difference that will brighten up you and your student.

Summary: Finally! Grammar made simple!
Comment: My 9 year old son is currently studying this book, and I've happily thrown away the grammar materials he was using before. This book is written very clearly, and the data is presented in a straightforward, easy to understand manner.
My son now has certainty on the parts of speech, and punctuation. His writing has improved tremendously, and his understanding of what he reads has also improved.
This is a must for every homeschooler, and for anyone who found grammar confusing in school. It's not a difficult subject, and not nearly as painful as my elementary school teachers made it seem!
I would also recommend this book to anyone whose child is not doing as well in school as they would like. This is certainly the best grammar resource I've found.
