Summary: Daily Bread
Comment: Witty and wise, Clear Soul is a daybook and soul guidebook treasure. It can be read straight through, as a kind of "soul history," section by section, from "Awakening" to "Self," "Friends," and "Marriage," through "Toward Wisdom." But it's even more rewarding to savor each individual offering on its own. Like haiku, each one of these 2 to 3 line poems has hidden depths revealed only by turning it over and over in the mind. But this poetry is not written for specialists. Anyone can relate to these words on how to live, that say so much more than the literal words mean. For example, consider "Spider" : "My web flexes in the breeze. / I reweave the holes / and rid the world of small pests." Or "Therapy": "Dive deep. / Sharks attack from below." This is a book to be read over and over, even used as a daily guide. Pick a page at random and you will discover a wonderful thought or smile for almost any circumstance, daily bread for meditation and encouragement.

Summary: An accomplished collection of thought provoking poems
Comment: Personal and accessible, the poems in Clear Soul tap into the universal. They sing with beauty and bite with the truth. I read one or two every morning before work and reflect on them . It's a wonderful way to start the day. Highly recommended.

Comment: When I turned to a random page in Clear Soul and read, "Adrenaline, the puppetmaster," I knew the book was a gem. The collection of words and phrases touched the taproots of my emotions. And the crisp quips showed me pictures through the author's mind. Indeed, Moran is a brilliant writer; the evidence is Clear Soul.
