Summary: The Dead Shall Inherit The Earth
Comment: Wow!! A sci-fi meets horror combo. Well written. You get caught up in the story from the very beginning, not able to guess where the author is taking you, which definitely adds to the horror side of things. If you are ready to experience space travel unlike you have ever read before, then this is DEFINITELY the book to read. I have never read this authors' work before, but I will continue to look for his work in the future.
Rating: 4
Summary: A rollicking fun, scary horror-adventure saga!
Comment: Vince Churchill proves himself to be a strong contender in the arena of escapist fiction. The author deftly weaves many genres - action, horror, sci fi - into one action-packed tale of space mercenaries who undertake a rescue mission and unwittingly serve the hidden agenda of a futuristic politician with an eye to the World Presidency. Churchill is gifted with a vibrant imagination, and he provides us with a parade of colorful monsters that will mesmerize fans of the macabre. Rabid zombies, vampire vines, and swarms of flesh-eating grubs populate these pages, with the aforementioned politician ably representing the 'human monster' contingency.
The flaws in this book are relatively minor - on a purely technical level, there are occasional grammatical errors and misspellings, which can be somewhat distracting from an otherwise fun and fast-paced read. And as a female fan of horror and sci fi genres, I was disappointed by the depiction of the female characters - each is described repeatedly in terms of her sexual desirability, and even the most battle-hardened woman warrior turns to putty under the male protagonist's gaze. (Ick!)
However, my overall impression is that Churchill's story is a rollicking fun read and is well worth tackling if you're in the mood for a scary horror-adventure saga. I'll certainly look forward to his next novel!

Summary: It's OK
Comment: Nice story line, but too many grammatical errors. Remember that "it's" is only used for "it is" not as a possessive.
