Rating: 5
Summary: A priceless book going for 12 bucks!
Comment: This really is everything I had hoped for and most likely everything you're hoping for too if you're reading this. Basically the book consists of various interviews with some of the comic industries best and brightest. You've got everyone from Neil Gaiman and Frank Miller (living legends) to Joe Kelly and Devin Grayson (upcoming stars). The tips and stories revealed herein are both touching and fascinating. If you're an aspiring comic writer or even just a fan of some of the listed writers this is really a must-have, that deserves a place right up there on your comic wrack.

Rating: 5
Summary: Excellent round-up of top-notch talents
Comment: If you're looking for information about how to write comic book scripts, this book should be tops on your list. Through interviews with several bright stars on the comics scene, we are treated to a fairly in-depth treatment of how they work, how they got started, some of the problems they've faced, and more. Of particular interest are the answers to the questions about the "method" used by each of these writers to actually get their scripts down on paper. The discussion isn't limited to mere "plot-style" vs. "full-script style". The writers provided a detailed view of how they sit down and begin the task of writing stories in comic-book format -- from outlining, to thumbnail sketches, to actual scripting, the discussion on these and other topics is invaluable.

I admit that I haven't heard of some of the folks interviewed here, but I read every one, and can honestly say that there's something of value in every single interview. Interesting and insightful -- you won't be sorry!

Rating: 5
Summary: Well-rounded collection
Comment: Despite the abscence of any writers of color and the inclusion of a single female, this is a well-rounded collection of in-depth interviews with fascinating insights into process, inspiration, motivation, philosophy and, in some cases, barely contained egomania. A must-have for aspiring writers and fanboys alike.
