Title: Electric Guitar by Nick Freeth ISBN: 1-84065-215-2 Publisher: Salamander Books Format: Paperback |
Average Customer Rating: 4.25 (4 reviews)
Rating: 2
Summary: Great photos...poor text
Comment: While the photo examples in this book are excellent, the text contains grossly innaccurate historicall accounts. In addition, many of the descriptions of the instruments in the photos are also just plain wrong. For the second edition, the authors should either omit all of the text (and make this a picture book) or re-write all of it.
Rating: 5
Summary: Informative + Great Pictures
Comment: The photographs in this book alone tell the story of the development of the electric guitar from its pre-world-war 2 origins to the end of the twentieth century. The text is an added bonus - well-written and full of interesting facts and anecdotes.
This book would make a great addition to your music library.
