Summary: Unless you're short of toilet paper, don't buy this book
Comment: This is a truly terrible book, that shouldn't have been written, let alone published. The actual writing is dire, and the amount of padding and conjecture completely overwhelms any journalistic/biographical merit. There are very few facts, no one really close to JKR has actually spoken to the author, and it's all hearsay and speculation. The book could probably have been reduced to a three page magazine article without actually losing anything interesting.
I'd have given this book anti-stars if I could, it's such a waste of money. I really regret parting with my cash, and seriously suggest saving the money spend on something far more worthwhile.

Summary: Full of interesting facts....
Comment: I always wondered why someone would use a name that started with initials. This and other interesting facts are explained in this book by Sean Smith about the life of JK Rowling. If you are a fan of the Harry Potter series this book would be an enjoyable read.

Summary: Very good for book reports!
Comment: I read this book for a book report, and found that it was extremely interesting. While a bit dry at times, it got very interesting around the time at which she was getting the book published. I highly recommend this book for Harry Potter fans, and for teenagers needing to read biographies for book reports.
