Comment: This is a lovely book. A spiral hardback (the spiral's hidden) with page after page of gorgeous photos, prints of famous paintings and quotes from famous fellow gardeners. One of my favorite from the book being Emerson's above, and one by Princess Grace, "When at last I took the time to look into the heart of a flower; it opened up a whole new world . . .as if a window had been opened to let in the sun". A medium size volume, 8" x 8", with 75 pages, the beauty of the book lies in it's ability to convey the universal delight, joy and life lessons (patience, of hope deferred and expectations blighted)that gardening brings. It can be read and viewed for pleasure, or, with it's 35 blank, or near blank pages it can be used as a gardening journal or personal journal. In no way a gardening guide, it provides the reader reflections of famous gardeners, some long past and an insight into himself. A perfect companion for a fall or winter day, when summer is a memory and the heart yearns for spring.
