Comment: I would say this is a very good book for anyone starting out with the internet and is a good guide in strait english. If you spend a decent amount on the web I would not suggest it because it does not go beyond the basics.

Summary: Best Reference Book on Internet!
Comment: While taking a course on "Basic Internet" I was forced to buy another book that was really confusing. I found "The Internet - the Rough Guide 2000" at our bookstore and it has saved my life. The explanations and suggestions are much clearer than our text book and actually gave more information in a smaller size - really handy to keep by the computer or carry with you. I would definitely recommend this to anyone learning to surf the net, build a web page, research, etc.
