Summary: God, it's awful
Comment: As a student pharmacologist, I purchased 'This is Ecstasy' from Amazon expecting a concise, professional discussion of the drug and rave culture. Unfortunately, the book is written in a flippant, almost juvenile tone, littered with excruciating puns and bad jokes. The first half of the book is an interminable and largely irrelevant discussion about dance culture - including slang and drug details that were probably out of date even before the book was published.

I'm sorry to sound so negative, but I really feel this book is decidedly amateur. I can't recommend it to anyone.

(By contrast, I do recommend 'This is Cannabis', another book in the same series.)
