Summary: If you don't love this book, then you're living wrong
Comment: Anyone who could say anything bad about this book misplaced their soul. This book teaches all of us how to live, it really explains to the best degree yet, the meaning of life, death, and what we should do on earth. It shows that our lives are three dimensional, and third dimension we can't see but it's more powerful than all the rest. If you are losing someone to a disease, or if a person that you love has died or been killed, read this book, and it will releave so much of your pain. There is life after death and after that....let Betty tell you.
There is so much that we don't know, but this book shows that we should all live our lives with a center of compassion and let nothing else take control. It's not about money, or fame or sex, or superiority. It's about living to help with whatever talent you've been blessed with. The rest of the stuff blocking our view of the truth is simply a trivial pursuit and God doesn't care what car you drive. But he does care about how you treat yourself and his other children.

Summary: We don't die!
Comment: I was handed Betty's book when my 18 year old daughter was diagnosed 'brain dead' after a car accident. I have given the book out to others who have experienced a loss in their life and will continue passing out Betty's book of hope after death!
The book explained a little about what happened to me when I was clinically dead from an injury in an accident, 1980. Although I didn't see anyone, I remember being in a beautiful green pasture with flowers and the feeling of total love, peace and harmony. It was a place I never wanted to leave!
My mother had a NDE when my little sister died. She remembers being in a beautiful place floating with an angel or guide as Betty describes. She then asked about her baby and was able to see her baby flying around very peaceful and happy. My mother said "she doesn't know me" and was told "she will when she grows up." Thus, I have always felt babies grow in heaven.
My daughter's best friend was struck by a truck and in a coma for months. When she awoke from her brain injury, she was recovering in a rehab center for months. The first words she spoke was seeing her grandparents - who had died several years before. Four months after her accident, she was allowed to go home for a few hours to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner. She saw a picture of Jesus on the dining room wall, not able to talk well or use her arms to function, she pointed to the picture and said "uh, uh, no, he doesn't look like that -- Jesus doesn't look like that." These were the only words she spoke during her brief visit.
I can go on and on about other people who have had NDE and I have no doubt we all of have destiny beyond this world! As for my daughter, she is in a much better place. I know because I was there once and look forward to returning to Heaven when my time is up!

Summary: Cashing in on Grief?
Comment: Many people who read this book have it handed to them after the death of a loved one. For me it was the passing of my wife's father. She read it and found it a great comfort so she asked me to read it too. I was skeptical but for her sake, I read it. I am a slow reader but this thing is so full of fluff that I got through it in two hours. Religion is a great comfort to people in times of personal grief and I realize that this book has helped many to cope with death. But religion is also, along with politics, one of the few career fields where you can turn bull---- into money. It is plainly obvious that this whole thing was made up.
She never says why she was in the hospital. What caused the near death experience? Explaining this might have given the story a little more credibility, but for the author, none of this was relevant. The only reason for writing the book was to tell the miraculous story. Most NDEs last only a few minutes. This one was long enough for a feature-length film, and she has total recall of every little detail. How could she have survived such a lengthy NDE? She crammed a lot of material into the four or five minutes that a person can survive such an ordeal.
Pardon me for being so skeptical of a book that clearly has helped so many people in their darkest hour. Maybe the author was sincerely trying to use her story-telling skills to help people cope with death. But on the other hand, if there is a heaven, and if she did write this to cash in on the grief of others, she'll need a lot more than a good line of bull---- when she meets her maker for real.
