Summary: Very Innovative but...
Comment: The editor/publisher of this "high" art/fashion magazine - if one can still call Visionaire a magazine - has done it again. This issue is one of the better releases in comparison with the past few. Conceptualized after the LV Cup, this issue comes in seven different versions - each one representing a country that participates in the Cup. There is France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, Australia and USA. The images are created by well-known artists of the respective countries e.g. Serge Lutens for France, Pedro Almodovar for Spain, etc. Besides the fact that it comes in a perspex box made by Louis Vuitton, the other interesting feature is that the images are cut up into blocks, like a child's building blocks. As an admirer of the works of Francesco Clemente, I bought the Italy version - he is among the contributing artists. Although it will be nice to own all 7 versions, it is not necessary as each version comes with a pack of postcards that shows the images in all the versions. My only "dissatisfaction" is that when compared with the editions of Visionaire's early years, the quality of the printing has deteriorated. Still I would recommend all art book collectors to buy this issue - any version. After all, how many art books can you literally play with?
