Summary: pray so they translate this book
Comment: This book was given to me by my godmother. It is a small, pocket size book you can carry with you, intended to help you focus, reflect, and meditate. Many different kinds of personal prayers are briefly explained. The meditation excercise that has helped me the most, is one where you think about someone that annoys you. The book helps you reflect on why you are feeling this strong emotion, and then helps you realize that you are not worth annoying in the first place, and that most people go through life much more focused on themselves and their problems than on you. It has an interesting observation on why we sometimes feel weird about a person we barely know: that person or his/her actions may remind us of someone that hurt us in the past. I find that after more than 10 years, these insights, prayers, or meditations (whatever you want to call them) have been very helpful.
