Summary: Intelectually Honest and Gracious
Comment: Mortimer Adler has done an exceptional job at offering a clear definition of terms and both a lucid critique of a few of the arguments for the exisistence of God and a cogent reformulation of the cosmological argument for the existence of God. Adler works hard at anticipating objections and clearly definining the limits of his conclusions. As a believer as opposed to the "pagan" Adler was writing for I found nothing repugnant to my faith and much to challenge it. I highly recommend this work.
